Article 1: Contest Description
The AMV-France Online Contest is a competition for amateur music videos created using music and footage from anime (Japanese animated shows). This contest is free and non-profit.
Article 2: Submission Deadline
The submission deadline for the videos is set for December 7, 2024, at 11:59 PM (UTC+2). AMVs must be submitted in their entirety before this date.
The deadline may be modified by official announcement from the AMV-France staff without updating these rules.
Article 3: Contest Organizer
The contest is organized by the AMV France association (www.amv-france.com).
Article 4: Registration Conditions
4.1 The contest is free and open to everyone, except for the jury members (preselection and final judgment).
4.2 Entries must be exclusive to the contest and not published online before the results are announced on the AMV France association’s website.
4.3 Multiple entries by an individual or group of people are accepted (up to 5 maximum).
4.4 The videos used must have a clear and direct connection to animation. Videos from video games are also accepted. It is allowed to mix these images with sources not derived from animation (drawings, 3D, etc.). Any clips that cause debate will be subject to validation to determinate whether video can be considered an AMV or not.
4.5 Participation in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
Article 5: Registration Procedure
Each participant (individual or group) must complete the interactive registration form available only on the contest registration page.
Article 6: Technical Considerations for Clips
6.1 The clips must adhere to the following formats:
Containers: AVI, MP4, MKV, MPEG, MPEG2, WMV
Video codecs: H264, H265, MPEG, MPEG2, WMV9
Audio codecs: MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC, Vorbis
Framerate: Up to 60 frames per second
6.2 The file size of the clip must not exceed 500MB or a maximum bitrate of 30mb/s unless a valid reason is provided.
Note: For optimal diffusion of your video, it is recommended to submit a file in 4K, while adhering to the same rules mentioned above. If you do not provide a 4K version, we will upscale your video without altering the image, only changing the format and scale.

6.3 The clip must be at least 1 minute and 30 seconds long.
6.4 No intro or outro, as the contest is intended to be fully anonymous.
Article 7: Clip Submission
The video must be sent by FTP. Login details will be sent by e-mail to participants whose registration has been validated.

The video file name must respect this nomenclature: The_Title.mp4 (or mkv, avi...).
Article 8: Guarantees
8.1 Each participant (individual or group) submitting their work in the context of this contest guarantees that they are the exclusive and only author of the work and that it does not directly and/or indirectly violate any third-party rights.

Article 9: Jury Composition
The jury will consist of 3 volunteers who are bound by the AMV France confidentiality agreement.
Article 10: Judging Criteria
The submitted works will be rated and ranked based on criteria such as editing quality, encoding, originality, aesthetics, and consistency.
Article 11: Announcement of Results
The results will be announced on the AMV-France website.
Article 12: Grounds for Disqualification
12.1 The disqualification of a participant is at the sole discretion of the contest organizers. We remain open to any claims or appeals.
12.2 Any use of material that is pornographic, racist, defamatory, or likely to harm physical or moral integrity will result in the immediate disqualification of the participant.
12.3 Failure to comply with one or more articles of these rules will also be considered grounds for disqualification.
Article 13: Contest Modification or Cancellation
AMV France reserves the right to modify, extend, or cancel this contest without notice. This decision, at the sole discretion of AMV France, will not incur any liability on their part.
Article 14: Participants' Rights
In accordance with the "Data Protection and Freedom" law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, you have the right to access, modify, or delete data concerning you. To exercise this right, please contact the AMV France association staff.

Any difficulty in interpreting these rules will be resolved by the AMV France association.
