Article 1 : Contest description
AMV-France Online Contest is an amateur music video contest.
The music videos must have been created from music and anime (Japanese cartoons) sources. This contest is free and for non commercial-use.
Article 2 : Deadline
The contest ends on January 9th, 2022 at 11:59pm UTC+2 (local summer time). The videos must have been uploaded by this date.
This date can be modified by official AMV-France Staff notice without modification of the present rules.
Article 3 : Contest organizers
This contest is organized by AMV FRANCE, the French Anime Music Videos Association (www.amv-france.com).
Article 4 : Submissions terms
4.1 This contest is free and opened to all, except for jury members.
4.2 The videos musn't be shown on the Internet before AMV France association gives the contest results.
4.3 Two entries per person are accepted. A group video (minimum 2 persons) and a single video. However, it is forbidden to send two single videos or two group videos.
4.4 Only anime or manga related videos will be accepted. Video games related videos will also be accepted.
You can mix those images with real sources if anime sources represents at least 60% of sources.
4.5 In order to participate to this contest you must totally agree with the following rules.
Article 5 : Submission process
Each participant (person or group) must fill the electronic inscription sheet available here.
Article 6 : Technical requirements
6.1 The following formats are accepted :
- Containers : AVI, MP4, MKV, MPEG, MPEG2, WMV
- Video Codecs : H264, XviD, DivX (5, 6 et 7), MPEG, MPEG2, WMV9
- Audio Codecs : MP3, AAC, WMA, FLAC, Vorbis
- Framerate : Up to 60 frames per seconds
6.2 The video size must NOT exceed 300Mo or 20mbt/s unless there is a valid reason.
6.3 The video's length cannot be under 2min.
6.4 No intro or outro, this contest is supposed to be anonymous.
Article 7 : How to send your video
Your video must be uploaded our FTP (access will be sent by email).
If you encounter any problem during your video upload, please contact us through the
support forum placed at your disposal.
Article 8 : Guarantees
8.1 Each participant (person or group) must guarantee his/her exclusive ownership of the video he/she submits. This guarantee must extend to the direct or indirect violation of any of the exclusive rights of a copyright owner.
8.2 Each participant accepts that his/her video can be publicly displayed, become downloadable on websites such as AMV France and be used during several conventions in which AMV France will take part.
Article 9 : Jury
The jury will be composed of 3 volunteers.
Article 10 : Ranking criteria
The jury will rank the videos, basing their judgment on editing quality, conversion, originality, aestheticism, and coherence.
Article 11 : Results
The results will be announced on AMV-France website.
Article 12 : disqualification
12.1 The organizing committee reserves the right to disqualify any submission without having to justify, in any way, its decision.
12.2 You are prohibited from posting any unlawful, libelous, defamatory, inflammatory, threatening, pornographic, profane, scandalous, or other material that may give rise to civil or criminal liability or otherwise violate any applicable law.
12.3 By submitting a video to this contest, you agree on the Terms and Conditions sated on this page.
Article 13 : Modifications or Contest Cancellation
AMV France may at any time revise these Terms and Conditions by updating this posting. Your submission to this Contest is contingent upon your agreement to be bound by any such revisions and you should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current Terms and Conditions. AMV France can, within its rights and at any moment, cancel the Contest.
Article 14 : Data Policy
According to French law 78-10 from January 6th 1978, you have the right to access, modify or delete any data referring to you. We do not transfer any kind of data concerning contestants out of AMV France Association. If you have any question regarding our data policy, please feel free to contact Nihuhu through our forum.
Article 15 : Rules interpretation
Any misinterpretation of the rules will be resolved by the Contest officials. Such decision is final. Protests regarding the judgment of the Contest will not be accepted.
